Costa Rica Itinerary

Day 1- Today you arrive in the capital, San Jose.  As soon as the entire group arrives, we will take a bus and head east to the quaint town of Turrialba. The evening will be spent enjoying a “tipical” dinner at a family-owned restaurant.

Day 2- Our day starts early as we head into the dense rain forest to start our trek. We will have a thrilling day of Canyoning as we rappel down waterfalls while enjoying the natural beauty of Costa Rica. In the evening we will go to the supermarket and buy food for a local family. We will visit the home of the family and experience how they live while they show us how they prepare dinner. It’s a cultural experience not to be missed.

Day 3- After eating a freshly cooked breakfast, we are off to the famous Vocan Irazu. This is the highest volcano found in Costa Rica that towers over 11,000 feet. We will do some amazing sightseeing as we bike down this immaculate volcano. We will return late in the evening where you will have a variety of restaurants to choose from.

Day 4- Costa Rica is known world-wide for excellent white water rafting. We will raft on the Pacuare River which is one of the most scenic rivers to run. We will have lunch in the rainforest while enjoying the spectacular views. In the evening after dinner, we encourage you to come join us for a local salsa lesson. If you’ve got two left feet then you can spend some time exploring the town.

Day 5- Rise and Shine! We are headed to the beach today. Our bus ride takes us south to Dominical. This is a little coastal village that sits on the Pacific coast. It’s a laid back town surrounded by pristine rainforests.

Day 6- Spend the day chillin at the beach! This evening we will do a little shopping for a local family as we prepare to cook dinner with them. They will be greatly blessed with enough food for the next week and we will enjoy learning about the Costa Rican culture first hand. It’s a remarkable experience!

Day 7- Today we will take a hike into the luscious jungles until we come to an immaculate waterfall. Here we can jump from the top of this waterfall or just bask in its beauty. Our last evening will be spent enjoying some great food and even better company.

Day 8- We will leave extremely early today to return to San Jose. On our way back we will stop on a bridge where you will have the option to bungee from 265 feet above the water. It’s an amazing “goodbye” to an incredible trip before you have to catch your flight home.
