Guatemala Itinerary

Day 1- We pick you up from the airport in Guatemala City. In the late afternoon
we will head to the colonial town of Antigua located 50 minutes outside of the
capital. We find Antigua in a valley surrounded by mountains and three massive
volcanos: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. We will arrive at our quaint hotel and
spend the evening in town.

Day 2- Our day begins with a rewarding trek up Pacaya Volcano.
Pacaya is an active volcano that is part of a chain of volcanoes that stretches along the Pacific coast of Guatemala. At sunset we will enjoy breathtaking views before we head back to Antigua .

Day 3- The morning is yours to enjoy! The afternoon will be spent volunteering for an orphanage and spending time with children that need your love and encouragement. It will be an amazing experience. You will have the rest of the evening to yourself to enjoy the local sights of the town and the incredible food. This town is unforgettable!

Day 4- Today starts early as we begin our hike up to magnificent rock walls which surround Guatemala’s forgotten lake. We will spend a fantastic day rock climbing while enjoying beautiful views. On this rock wall, you can choose from 5.8 cracks to 5.12 open faces. In the evening we will bring food to a local family that lives outside of Antigua. They will demonstrate how they cook dinner and then we will all dine together. It’s definitely a cultural experience.

Day 5- In the morning we will visit a local school full of curious children. We will enjoy their company while bringing them needed school supplies. During the lunch rush we will be volunteering for a local school that feeds the homeless. "Be the change that you want to see in the world" -Mohandas Gandhi. The evening will be yours to enjoy.

Day 6- We are off to the enchanting town of Panajachel. This town is one of the
twelve villages that surround the famous Atitlan Lake. Guatemala is home to many of
the Mayan communities that still wear their traditional weavings and you will
find some of that here.
We will drive a couple of hours until we arrive at the trailhead. From there will start our adventurous day of biking back to Panajachel. You will get spectacular views of the lake as you bike down the trail. We will catch a boat in the evening to our lakeside hotel where you will have the chance to relax.

Day 7- The morning starts by taking sea kayaks to the indigenous village of San Marcos. From San Marcos we will hike back to Panajachel while passing through lakeside villages along the way. This day will be full of stunning views and pure adventure.
