Honduras Itinerary

Day1- Fly into La Ceiba Honduras, the countries party capital. La Ceiba is the third largest city in Honduras and the port to the Bay Islands. We will pick you up from the airport and take you to family–owned cabanas located about 20
minutes outside of the city. The cabanas are a 4 minute walk to the beach with
mountains as their backdrop. That evening we will enjoy a home cooked meal followed by a “welcome” bonfire.

Day 2- After enjoying a “typical” breakfast we are off to the countries largest
national park, Pico Bonito. We will spend the first half of the day hiking through the tropical forest while taking breaks to swim in the two magnificent waterfalls that we
will encounter along the way. After we break for lunch we will begin our ultimate adventure of giving back to the community. We will visit a local orphanage and bring needed supplies to these amazing children that will captivate your soul.

Day 3- We will leave after breakfast to start our action packed day as we join
our professional guides that will take us white water rafting down the Conrejal
River. This energetic river consists of class 11, 111, and 1V rapids. After a
day of excitement, we will settle down with a local family at their home. They
will show us how to make tortillas and where they get their water from. We will
be supplying the food and they will be supplying us with an unforgettable
cultural experience.

Day 4
- We are rising early today to visit a local elementary school. It's incredible to see the eagerness of their students as they learn new things. We will bring needed school supplies to give out to the children. The afternoon will be ours to enjoy. In the late afternoon we will take a short drive and travel to a rural village. We will be given a tour of the families homes and then we round up the children so that they can participate in a session of arts, crafts and games. It will be a life touching evening.

Day 5- This morning we start our day driving to the port in La Ceiba. From there
we will be taking a 60 minute boat ride to the island of Utila, the smallest of
the 3 main Bay Islands. This island is full of culture, avid divers, and
Caribbean shoreline. You will have your choice of doing some sea kayaking or
just lounging on the beach. This island is full of restaurants and lots of
people walking the main strip during the evening.

Day 6- You will have the morning to do as you please and then we will meet that
afternoon to go snorkeling or scuba diving. For those uncertified divers, you
can take an entry level course that does not get you certified, but allows you
to dive to a shallower depth with us. Utila is known for some of the best diving
in the world. The water is crystal clear and is filled with beautiful sea life.
The evening is yours to enjoy.

Day 7- We will spend the morning exploring this exotic island on 4 wheelers and
make our way to the highest point of the island, Pumpkin Hill. It’s an
incredible view and great opportunity to see the entire island. That afternoon
we will catch a ferry back to La Ceiba.  On our way back to the cabanas we will
stop at a local nursing home where we will bring them snacks and engage in some
interesting conversations.
That night we will enjoy one last meal together as we enjoy stories of the week.

Day 8- We take you to the airport and you head home.
